Oral Appliance Therapy - The solution that may change your life
Patients come to us at all points in their search for a solution to their snoring or sleep apnea. Some have been referred by a friend or physician as a first resource. Others have spent time and energy on other options that have not worked for them. For our team at Metro Dental Sleep Medicine, we believe it is vitally important to deliver the message that whether you choose oral appliance therapy or another option, that the issue of insufficient or interrupted sleep be treated in a way that works for you. Your health and your quality of life depend on it.
What to expect
- When you come to our office, you will be asked to provide information about your medical and dental history. It is important to us to understand what your unique circumstances are so we can help find the best solution for you.
- Your head/jaw will be examined to determine not just the suitability of Oral Appliance Therapy(OAT) for you, but also which of the custom oral appliances available would be best for your physical structure and your comfort.
- If OAT is advisable, we will then discuss the treatment options available to you and work together to come to a solution that best meets your needs.
- Once you have been fitted for an oral appliance, we continue to monitor your progress with follow up appointments to obtain the best treatment results for you.
